Welcome to VolvoxAureus

It's looking a lot like autumn in Portland. The leaves are falling and the days are almost unbearably short already.

I moved into a new studio this fall. I know, you're wondering why I moved out of Radius when I just got my own studio there. You're right, but an opportunity came by that I just couldn't pass up.

The new studio is at Thurman Street Studios, in Northwest Portland (28th and Thurman). It's a great group of artists and a wonderful space. The neighborhood is lovely, it's closer to home, and I have a window that looks onto the street! I've only been there for a month, but I love it already. It also has a showroom where all the artists can exhibit and sell work. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood!

Did you happen to see my window display at St.Johns+Art? Local businesses donated window space to local artists for a month-long show. It was a great community event and I feel very fortunate to have been part of it. The best part was that people who might not go to a gallery got to see all kinds of great work by artists who are also their neighbors!
